A light is never chosen simply to illuminate. It defines the atmosphere of a room, draws out a material and reveals a volume.
Favour warm light and natural materials such as travertine, alabaster or opal glass. They diffuse a soft light that is ideal for living spaces.

Metal pendant lights, designer ceiling lights and sculptural wall lights bring a modern touch without overwhelming the space.

Spotlights, ceiling lights and adjustable wall lights let you structure the light in a kitchen, a hallway or a home office.

Layer several sources of light: a central pendant, a wall light and a side lamp. This layering creates a richer, more comfortable and altogether more refined atmosphere.

Our team is here to answer your questions Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm
A dining room needs lighting that is both decorative and comfortable. A pendant light remains the most popular choice, as it draws attention to the table and creates a warm atmosphere at mealtimes. Over a rectangular table, a linear fitting or several aligned pendants will balance the light more evenly. Over a round table, a single central pendant in glass, travertine, alabaster or metal works beautifully. The hanging height should light the table without dazzling your guests, and a warmer light will keep the mood sociable.

Colour temperature describes the tint of the light produced by the bulb or the LED. A warm light, around 2700 K to 3000 K, creates a soft, welcoming mood and is ideal for a living room, a bedroom or a dining room. A neutral light, around 4000 K, suits kitchens, home offices and circulation areas. A cool light gives a whiter, more functional result. This choice has a direct effect on the atmosphere of a room, even when the design of the light itself is identical.
Light output is measured in lumens, not in watts alone. The higher the number of lumens, the more strongly a light will illuminate. In a living space, start with enough general light, then layer in secondary sources such as a wall light or a floor lamp. A large room may need several light sources to avoid dark corners. Decorative lights in alabaster, glass, paper or fabric sometimes diffuse a softer light, which makes them perfect for atmosphere but less suitable as the only source of light in a room.
An integrated LED is built directly into the light and often allows a slimmer, more modern or more sculptural design. It offers good light efficiency and low energy consumption. A replaceable bulb gives you more freedom to choose the brightness, the colour temperature and the type of bulb to suit your preferences. Before buying, it is worth checking the product page to see the type of light source, the compatible wattage and any options available. This detail affects both maintenance and long-term use.
Lumiris was born of a conviction: a light is not a functional object. It is a presence. It changes the atmosphere of a room, softens an evening, turns an ordinary space into a retreat. Every piece is selected for its material, its character and its ability to last.
